Erin Martinez and
Shawn Harris, both accomplished flutists, together
founded Duo Desto in 2006. They have over 25 years
of combined flute playing experience.
As winners of the UCA Concerto Competition, Duo Desto performed the Flute Concerto for Two Flutes by Cimarosa with the UCA Chamber orchestra in February 2007. With a reputation for excellence and beauty of sound, Duo Desto entertains with a wide varied musical repertoire spanning centuries, cultures, and styles. Duo Desto is dedicated to promoting music education and appreciation. Erin and Shawn perform and teach regularly in the community. |

Erin Martinez An active soloist and chamber musician, Erin Martinez has performed at venues throughout the Central Arkansas area, including the Arkansas Symphony, Conway Symphony, UCA Orchestra, and Pine Bluff Symphony, in addition to the Houston Sinfonietta, Skidmore Flute Institute, and the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Martinez received a Bachelor of Flute Performance from the University of Central Arkansas. She is currently finishing her credentials for teacher licensure in music and Spanish at UCA. |

Shawn Harris A highly accomplished musician, Shawn Harris is an active free-lance flutist and performer. He has played with the Arkansas Symphony, Conway Symphony, UCA Chamber Orchestra and is principal flute of the UCA Wind Ensemble. Recently, Shawn was selected to participate in the AR Intercollegiate Band Clinic and played principal flute with that group. Mr. Harris is currently earning a Bachelor of Flute Performance from the University of Central Arkansas. He is a private instructor through the UCA Community School of Music. |
